Skylarks

Who are the Skylarks?

The North Kildare Skylarks are an inclusive tag rugby team for children with additional needs, starting from age 5. We create a safe and supportive space where every child can discover the joy of rugby.

Our sessions are child-led, focusing on both the social and physical development of each player. Above all, we make sure every child feels part of the team, builds confidence, and has fun.

What is Disability Tag Rugby?

Disability tag rugby is a fast, exciting, and non-contact version of rugby that’s suitable for all ages and abilities. It helps players improve running, balance, and ball-handling skills, while also keeping active and healthy.

The game is open to boys and girls from age 5 upwards and is designed to ensure everyone can take part and enjoy the sport.

Training Times & Location

We train every Thursday from 6:30–7:15 pm on the Astro pitch at North Kildare Rugby Club.

Our season runs alongside the school year, starting in September and finishing in June, with breaks during school holidays.
